HOMEE (pronounced “homie”) connects people looking for a room with those who have one to offer. Whether you're a landlord, tenant, or just someone with a spare room. It’s about matching on more than just budget or location — we help you find your people and your place.
How do I list a room on HOMEE?
Easy!
- Just sign up, and click “Post a Listing” and select ‘Room’ under listing type.
- It takes less than 5 minutes if you’ve got your photos and details ready.
- Make sure your listing info is honest, clear, and accurate.
IMPORTANT: HOMEE is a public platform. The information you share (including any room + buddy-up/housemate listings) will be visible to individuals who don’t have a HOMEE account. We therefore advise you to be selective about what information you include in your adverts and not to include any information you aren’t happy to be publicly available.

- Click “Find a Room”
- Set your filters (location, rent, preferences), and browse listings.
- You’ll see room and housemate info to help you find a good fit quickly.
- Once you’ve signed up to the platform and verified, you can message them directly!
How do I list a housemate/buddy up profile?
This is a similar process to posting a room listing! Start by signing up and creating your profile.
- Select “Post a Listing” and then ‘Housemate’ under listing type.
- Filling out this section should take less than 5 minutes!

- Select ‘Find Housemates’
- Search by ideal monthly budget, age, interests etc.
- Once you’ve signed up to the platform and verified, you can message them directly!
It’s a great way to team up and find a home together.

Is HOMEE free?
Yep! As a user, creating a profile, browsing listings, and messaging is completely free. We may introduce premium features later, but the core platform is free to use. This may ultimately differ for Landlords and Letting Agents.
What is HOMEE doing in terms of safety?
We take safety seriously at HOMEE.
HOMEE is a public platform, so both room and buddy-up/housemate listings can be viewed by anyone online. However, to access key features like messaging and posting of listings, all users must complete ID verification through our trusted third-party provider, iDenfy. This helps us reduce fake profiles, bots, and scams.
That said, we’re still a young and growing platform. While we’re doing our best to build a safer space, we do not manually check, and therefore cannot guarantee the authenticity of, every listing or user. As such, we don’t accept liability for interactions made on or off the platform. It’s your responsibility to stay safe and do your due diligence.
Always:
- Independently verify the identity of users
- View properties in person (if safe to do so)
- Never send money unless you're fully confident in the legitimacy of the listing
- Report anything suspicious to us immediately

🔗 HOMEE Guidelines ✅Can I sublet a room on HOMEE?
Yes, if you’ve got permission from your landlord and letting agent first. When posting a sublet, you’ll be asked to confirm that subletting is allowed. HOMEE doesn’t independently verify this, so it’s your responsibility to be honest and above board.
Do I need to upload proof of address or ownership?
Not this stage, we only require ID verification to use the platform. Whether you’re a landlord, tenant or housemate, all users go through the same quick process. We may introduce further safety features down the line.
What should I do if I feel unsafe or uncomfortable?
Trust your gut. If something doesn’t feel right — whether it’s a message, listing, or interaction — report it to us straight away at hello@homeehq.com. Please provide as much detail as possible. We look to review every report and take action where needed.
We do not take responsibility for interactions or agreements made on or off the HOMEE platform. Users are advised to conduct their own due diligence, including people and property details, and to be cautious when communicating or making payments. Any issues arising on or after leaving the platform are outside of our jurisdiction, and users should exercise caution and seek appropriate legal advice when necessary.
Can I report a listing or user?
Absolutely. If you see anything suspicious, misleading or inappropriate, email us at hello@homeehq.com with the details.
How can I make my room listing stand out?
Be clear, honest and real, the best listings tell a story!
Include:
- Photos of the room and shared space(s)
- Rent and move-in details
- Info about the area
- What the house vibe is like
- Who already lives there (ensure you have their permission to post about them!)
- Any house rules
